THE STRENGTH CODE – IS IT FOR ME? WHAT IS THE STRENGTH CODE?
To answer the first question, yes, the Strength Code is for you! The Strength Code is a training programme/journey for everyone. No matter your age, ability, starting fitness level or goal, the Strength Code will work for you.
STRENGTH TRAINING FOR EVERYONE
At our Performance Lab, we coach and train a wide range of individuals, which we call athletes. Starting with our youth athletes, ages start from 7 and go all the way to 16. Youth athletes can be a part of a school, sport club or an individual athlete looking to learn, have fun and be the best they can be.
We then have our adult athletes. These athletes play a variety of sports from football to netball, compete in golf competitions or runners looking to hit a new PB! All these sports will have different demands, but have one main factor in common, they need a strength programme.
We also have adult athletes who set their goals on changing their body composition by reducing body fat and increasing muscle. Whereas, other adult athletes want to develop their general fitness, through developing their mobility, enhancing their motor skills, balance, and coordination.
The Strength Code is Strength Training for Everyone built upon a community and a philosophy we call, Live by the Code.
Throughout your training you will receive constant support and feedback from our professional strength coaches. We, as a team, are here to answer your questions and give you real answers. You will also find the Lab a great place to be. A gym like no other.
Living by the Code covers all the bits that enhance your ability to adapt to the programme. You’ll receive guidance on nutrition, rest, sleep, management of programmes and injury reduction.
EXPERIENCE THE STRENGTH CODE JOURNEY
The Strength Code is both a training programme and an individual journey. As everyone is starting from a different place, and through the training programme, they will adapt slightly differently. We don’t confuse the training methods or try and make things complicated.
Lift strong, lift regularly and live by the code.
Simply, complete the Learn to Lift sessions, so that you are confident in the main lifts. On completion, you can then vary your training by Gym Training Days or Group Sessions.
LEARN TO LIFT
The Learn to Lift sessions have been created so that you can get the most out of your training. The Learn to Lift sessions will coach you the main lifts, squats, deadlifts, press and rows.
What you’ll notice in the sessions, is that the coach will get you to setup correctly, you’ll then practice moving with the barbell, dumbbells, kettlebell, or medicine ball.
As you start to practice each movement, you’ll then start to notice that you can add more load. This will increase your confidence and before long you’ll be tracking your strength levels and personal bests!

On competing the Learn to Lift course, you can follow the Gym Training Days or attend a Group Session. Remember all our training sessions will lead you towards your goal. Lift strong, lift regular and live by the code.
Gym Training Days
You’ll receive Gym Training Days through our app. The gym training days will contain mostly the main lifts, but with slight variations to keep your body adapting and to keep you engaged in your training.
Group Sessions
You can book and attend a Group Session. The Group Sessions will have a different feel from lighter, faster movements, raw strength lifts to strength, jump and sprints
Live by the Code
Via our app you will receive help and guidance with lifestyle changes so that you reap the rewards from your training. Our Live by the Code blogs will simply explain the importance of eating real food, suggest recovery strategies and how to manage load and training. A place to ask questions and receive real answers.
